The Links,
Incorporated is an international women’s organization with
274 chapters located in forty-one states, the District of Columbia, Nassau,
Bahamas, Frankfurt Germany, and South Africa. The Links’ membership
exceeds 12,000.
For over 50 years, the organization has gathered momentum,
continuously redefines its purposes, sharpened its focus and expanded its
program dimensions in order to make the name "Links" not only a chain of
friendship, but also a chain of purposeful service.
Finding talented members has been no problem for this
organization. Throughout its history, The Links, Inc. has attracted many
distinguished and dedicated women who are individual achievers and have made a
difference in their communities.
They are role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work
toward the realization of the vision for African Americans and for persons of
African descent worldwide by engaging like-minded organizations and individuals
for partnership.
The diverse and talented membership is able to readily problem
solve, plan and direct programmatic efforts.
Presently, The Links, Inc. is engaged in implementing expanded
program services through the National Program Facets: National Trends and
Services, International Trends and Services, Services to Youth and The Arts.
